Reddot Design Awards 2009
Dyson Airblade A01 hand dryer wins reddot award for high design quality. The red dot design award is one of the world's largest design competitions. It is an internationally recognised competition whose seal of approval for good design is highly regarded in the sector. The jury assesses submitted products by various criteria, e.g. innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, symbolic and emotional content and a product's self-explanatory aspect.

Product of the Year Award
DesignEX 2008
DesignEX is Australia’s most prestigious design-focused trade event, drawing industry luminaries for an annual insight into the latest products to hit the market in Australia. In 2008, the Dyson Airblade hand dryer won Product of the Year Award in the bathroom category. The awards are judged for their overall excellence in design, encompassing a complete design philosophy of innovation, ergonomics, functionality, durability, safety and environmental sensitivity.

National Energy Efficiency Awards 2007
The National Energy Efficiency awards celebrate organisations and businesses working to reduce energy use. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Energy Efficient Products (business to business) category. It was judged to be a “fantastic example of a product that has been rethought from top to bottom, delivering both energy efficiency and other environmental benefits.”

Carbon Positive Cutting Edge Award
South West C+ Carbon Positive Awards 2008
The South West C+ Carbon Positive Awards share learning and best practice in order to encourage positive carbon action. They aim to inspire others to act now, boosting the South West of England’s reputation for responding to the urgent challenge of climate change. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Carbon Positive Cutting Edge award for businesses and organisations developing innovative carbon cutting solutions.

The Society of Food Hygiene & Technology Awards 2007
The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology works to promote high levels of hygiene in the food industry. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Best New Product award for being a “step forward from traditional electric hand dryers. It is simple, quick, effective and ultimately eliminates use of paper towels.”

Interbuild New Product Awards 2007
Interbuild is the UK’s biggest construction industry trade show and each year showcases the latest innovations and services. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer was the overall winner in 2007, in large part for revolutionising a stagnant hand dryer category.

Working Buildings Week Innovation Awards 2007
The Working Buildings Week Innovation Awards aim to recognise new technologies that have made a significant contribution to workplaces. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won, as it “clearly shone out as a product that most notably improves the workplace – ticking every box when it comes to practical innovation.”

Observeur du Design Star 2007
Agence pour la Promotion de la Creation Industrielle
The Observeur is an international competition organised by the French Agency for Industrial Creation. It identifies objects from everyday life that are forward thinking in their design, with the best winning a star. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer impressed the judges with its speed, hygiene and energy efficiency.

Janus de l'industrie 2007 laureate
French Institute of Design
Awarded by the French Institute of Design, the Janus de l'industrie recognises technical and design achievements in product design. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer was made a laureate for its environmental design.
